PADI Scuba Diver

Who should do this course:
If you are short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you - particularly if you expect to only ever scuba dive primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that is your ultimate goal.

What you will learn:
  • 3 x Knowledge Development sections (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • 3 x Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills 
  • 2 x Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore 

PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:
  • Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.
  • Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty courses.

Whats included:
  • All scuba equipment (excluding timing device. Guests are required to bring their own, alternatively dive computers can be hired)
  • Wetsuit (if required)
  • All course materials
  • Certification

Duration:
  • Approx 2 days

Pre-requisites:
  • 10 years old
  • Be in good physical health (guests wishing to participate in a PADI dive course must be fit for diving according to the RSTC PADI Medical statement)

Cost:​
  • You pay $231 AUD (approx $355 FJD) per person direct to PADI when you register for your eLearning on the PADI website using the link: www.padi.com/courses/open-water-diver?irra=8417  You will only need to complete the first 3 sections along with the quizzes
